“There shall be conducted a uniform entrance examination to all medical educational institutions at the undergraduate level and post-graduate level through such designated authority in Hindi, English and such other languages and in such manner as may be prescribed and the designated authority shall ensure the conduct of uniform entrance examination in the aforesaid manner; 

Provided that notwithstanding any judgment or order of any court, the provisions of this section shall not apply, in relation to the uniform entrance examination at the undergraduate level for the academic year 2016-17 conducted in accordance with any regulations made under this Act, in respect of the State Government seats (whether in Government Medical College or in a private Medical College) where such State has not opted for such examinations”.

Application Procedure

Follow the 4 steps given below to Apply Online:

Step-1: Fill in the Online Application Form and note down the system generated Application Number.

Step-2: Upload scanned images of Candidate’s Photograph (between 10 - 200 kb) and Candidate’s Signature (between 4 - 30 kb) in JPG/JPEG format.

Step-3: Make payment of fee using suitable mode of payment through bank and keep proof of fee paid.

Step-4: Print at least four printouts of Confirmation Page after successful remittance of fee.

Fee Structure

  • The NEET UG 2020 application fee is specified for General and OBC category candidate is Rs.1400/- and for SC/ST/PH category candidates it is Rs. 750/-.

Eligibility

  • The cap on the number of attempts was removed for NEET 2018 and is not applicable for NEET 2019 as well. As per the NEET 2019 eligibility criteria, candidates can appear for the entrance exam as many times. Aspirants can appear for NEET 2019 twice in a year for the first time. However, only one attempt is allowed in one session. 

  • The test will be conducted by NTA.

  • The Indian Medical council fixed the lower age limit of 17 years for MBBS programme and upper age limit of 25 years for general category students and 30 years for SC/ST.

Admit Card 

  • The NTA will provide the facility of downloading Admit Cards of NEET (UG) -2020 on the NTA website. 
  • Candidates are required to download the Admit Cards from the website and follow the instructions given therein. 
  • Candidates may please note that Admit Cards will not be sent by post. When candidate will download the Admit Card, a copy of the same in PDF format will also be emailed to the candidate on the registered email id. 
  • The Admit Card will bear the candidate’s Roll Number, Name, Father’s Name, Category, Sub-Category, Photograph, Signature, Date of Birth, Language of Question Paper with Name and Address of examination Centre allotted.
